I'm a Big Sister!!

I spent the last week with my family in South Dakota.  I went to basketball games, fed the cows, made cookies, worked in the garden, decorated Christmas trees....it was so much fun.  Thanks everyone for making it a great week.

I was at Camp Dakota because mommy was in the hospital having a baby!!!  When I came back home, I finally got to meet my new baby broth Zack.

He is so tiny.  I can't believe that I was ever that little.  He may be small, but he can sure cry!
I just couldn't wait until I could hold him.  Grandma Judy made sure that I did it just right.
After I held him, it was grandma's turn.  I had to make sure she did it just right.

On Sunday, it was time for grandma and grandpa to go home.  I made sure to leave a few things up there so that I have an excuse to go see them again.
Sunday afternoon, Santa came to town!  We went to go see him and make sure that he knows how good I have been, or at least how good I can be :)

Thanks for checking out my blog,

Summer and Fall Roundup

As you can probably tell by not posting much lately, it has been pretty busy around here the past few months.  Let me show you what I have been up to.

Last time we talked, I mentioned that we were moving.  Good thing too, 'cause someone else bought our old house!

When we moved I thought I would get out of having to do chores, but they still put me to work!
It wasn't all work this summer though, I did get a few breaks to meet the other kids in neighborhood.

I spent a lot of time outside this summer exploring....

I even managed to take in a baseball game with mommy and some of her friends.

Why do they call it finger painting when it seems to get all over me???
Spending some girl time with cousin Kayla.
While daddy was working on a project outside, I helped by reorganizing some of his tools.
Me and mommy having an evening dinner outside.
One Saturday, Clifford the Big Red Dog was at the local library!

Whenever I would visit the library, I would always come back home and read to my animals.  They're such good listeners.

The highlight of this fall was my birthday party!! It was a Tangled theme party.

Look, I got new wheels!!!  Just wait until next summer, I'll be exploring all over the place!

It was a great party, thanks everyone for coming.

After my birthday, Halloween was just around the corner and it was time to start working on those pumpkins.

One of the neighbors had their dad bring in a hay rack.  All of us kids got on and they drove us around to go Trick-or-Treating.  It was so much fun, I can't wait until next year.

BIG NEWS!!!!  Can you figure out what it is??

If you guessed that I am going to be a big sister, then you're right!
I'm so excited.  I told mommy and daddy that I can read to the baby and hold the baby and "teach the baby to jump high, like me".

I'm taking really good care of mommy and making sure that the baby is healthy.

Talk to you later, when I'm the big sister,
Kaitlyn

On the Move

It's been a while since my last post, I'll do my best to get you up to speed.

Back in May, we went up to South Dakota to see grandma Judy & papa.

Mommy and daddy dropped me off and they were on their way to Fargo, North Dakota so that daddy could run a marathon!   Here is daddy and his friend Sara from work after their big race.

I helped daddy train by giving him water on his runs, but I decided to stay at grandma's and play with Adam.

When we got home from our trip there was more news, we're moving!  Not far away, just across town.  It's still a lot of work though.
When moving day came, it was an exciting but sad day.  So many memories in our old house...

In our new house, I upgraded to a "big girl bed".  I just love it. Here I am outside of our new house.
Even the kitty has found new places to explore, though it took her a few days to come out from her hiding spot.
On of the best things about the new house is all the kids in the neighborhood.  We play together almost everyday.  Sometimes we have to take a break and have a treat.
This new neighborhood sure goes crazy for fireworks!  We had a big get-together with the other neighbors to celebrate the 4th.

Yep, this moving is exciting but it can sure wear a little girl out.

Easter Recap

This year for Easter, we went up to see daddy's family in South Dakota.  I've made this trip more times than I can count (hey, I'm only 2!) but this road trip was one of the best.  One of mommy's friends borrowed us a DVD player for the car.  It was all Disney all the time!!!

Our visiting in SD started a little early, aunt Karen and cousin Liz met us along the way and we had lunch.  After lunch, we had stopped at a park so that mommy and me could stretch our legs out a bit.

One of grandma's friends has miniature horses, so we went out to see them.  I was a little scared at first, but they were so nice I just had to get on them.
I even got to feed them!
This pony was only a week old!
Horses weren't the only animals I saw.  Liz got a new puppy!  His name is Diesel.
I think we're going to be great friends.

At aunt Karen's, the Easter bunny made an early visit.
Thanks for telling the Easter Bunny where I would be!
Kicking back with Adam.
Liz and Kayla getting ready to give my hair a trim!

Finding my basket on Easter morning!
After church, we went to aunt Kathy's.  Guess what, Kathy told the Easter Bunny I would be there too!!
Hanging out with my cousins.  They spoil me and I just love it!

At Kathy's, I looked out the window and guess what I saw....you might think that there were just eggs out there, but there was something else.
A squirrel was taking the eggs!!

Have you ever seen anything like that before??

That crazy squirrel saved us some eggs, so it was time to go find them.

Easter was also Connor's birthday.  I'm kind of an expert at opening presents, so I helped him out.
Me and papa Terry making bubbles.
Some snuggle time with grandma.
On Monday, it was time to hit the road and come back home.  Thanks for spoiling me everybody!
We thought all of the Easter egg hunts were over, but when we came home there were more in our backyard!  What a fun surprise.  Neighbor Dave said he thought he heard something out there on Easter morning.....

I've moved on up the the next room at "work"/daycare.  The first day was kind of rough, but I'm getting use to it now.  We play lots of games and are learning new things everyday.

Thanks for visiting my blog,
