17 Months Old!

At 9:09 tonight I turned 17 months old!!  How fun.  I have some molars breaking through.  Not the gift I would have picked out, but I guess they have to come sometime.

It was really nice out here last week, so I spent some time outside playing ball.

The kitty was sad that she didn't get to come out too :(

When I was done playing ball, I took mommy on a walk around the neighborhood.  Mommy loves going for walks with me.

When I'm not outside playing, you can find me at my table working on a puzzle with my dolls.

On Friday, we celebrated the end of the work week by going to Dairy Queen.  Mommy and daddy made the mistake of giving me the cup the sundae came in :)  It was bath time for me :)

I have a new favorite book that I read every night.  It's about these 5 little monkeys that were jumping on the bed.

Saturday morning there was a polar bear plunge over at the lake, just like Aunt Karen did last week.  Those people were crazy!

Aunt Kathy & Uncle Brian were in town over the weekend.  On Saturday, we went to my favorite place, the zoo.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

You'll never guess what happened this past Saturday.  The doorbell rang and there was a delivery for me!  A balloon and stuffed bear.

 When we got the mail there were more surprises, cards and clothes.

 And today, more cards and stickers!!  Thanks everyone for thinking of me.

Yesterday it was so nice out that we went and visited the zoo.  After being trapped inside for so long, it was nice to get outside and stretch my legs a bit.

My favorite part of the zoo is the cat complex.  The kitties there are sooo big.  It was feeding time when we were there, so they were excited and running around -just like me.

Saturday night I had a play-date with the other kids from church.  I needed a little "Kaitlyn time", so I sent mommy & daddy to the movies while I played.

Happy Birthday Mommy!!

Last week was mommy's birthday, 29, again :)

Daddy got mommy a cake without me, so I had to inspect once he came home.  We've had so many birthdays lately, I'm getting addicted to all of the frosting!

Checkout what mommy and daddy got me, a big girl seat for the potty.  I'm not quite ready for it yet, but one of these days I'll be ready.

Coloring has become one of my favorite things to do lately.  As soon as I come home from work I'm ready to create my next masterpiece.

I have to be careful though, sometimes I forget where the paper is and I start drawing on the floor.  Oh well, mommy or daddy are right there to clean it up.

I've started to use so many new words lately.  Every day I'm picking up a new one.  I can even string a few together for a sentence.  Before I go to work, I say "bye-bye kitty".  When mommy makes me go to bed I say "help me daddy" -that really works on him :)

If it warms up this weekend, I'm thinking about going to the zoo to see the animals this weekend.

A Visit From Grandma & Grandpa

This weekend, daddy's mom and dad came down to visit us. Friday, I stayed home from work to play with them.  It was really nice outside on Friday, so me and grandma went out and built a snowman.

Funny story, while we were outside, we locked ourselves out of the house!  It was OK though, while we waited for mommy & daddy to come home and let us in we went and had ice-cream.  You know what they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade :)  We also had time to build another snowman.

On Saturday, daddy & grandpa put together my Christmas present -a bouncy pony!!

Saturday night, mommy and daddy went to a dinner while me and grandma & grandpa stayed home and played.  It was so much fun.  Don't tell mommy, but they let me stay up until 10 pm!!

What a fun weekend.  Thanks so much for coming down and playing with me grandma & grandpa!

Daddy's Birthday

Yesterday was my 16 month birthday and today is daddy's birthday!!  To celebrate, we played outside in the snow and then came inside for cake and ice-cream!!

Last week, I was sick and had to stay home from work for two days :(  I'm feeling 100% better now though and I am as good as new.

More Traveling & Visiting

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted anything.  Sorry about that.  Let's see, the last thing that I shared was when we went to Iowa to celebrate Christmas & the New Year.  I thought we were done traveling for a while, but there was no rest for this little girl.

The following weekend, we headed back to South Dakota to watch my cousins up there play basketball and dance.  I had never been to a basketball game, so that was supper fun.  Cousin Kayla is on the dance team and they performed at Friday night's game.  Kayla must be my inspiration, I'm a little dancing fool :)

Saturday morning, Adam played in a tournament so I went to cheer him on.  His team won the tournament, way to go Adam!

Liz's game was on Saturday night.  It was a really good game and her team won!

After watching so much basketball, I can't wait until I get to play.  Between games, I even snuck out onto the court.

Sorry Connor's game was cancelled, maybe we can see you play next time.

After 3 weekends of travel, it was time to come home and rest.  We finally got some snow here so I can go sledding!!

Uncle Dave and aunt Angie came to Omaha this past weekend.  We had a nice visit and then went out to lunch.  I'm sure getting spoiled seeing all of my family so much lately.

An Iowa Christmas

Last weekend, we went to Iowa to visit mommy's family and celebrate Christmas.  We hadn't visited them for a while, so it was extra fun to see everyone.

Friday it was New Years Eve.  Aunt Angie gave us all party hats to help ring in the new year.  Cousin Hudosn, uncle Dave, me, mommy and cousin Jordan were ready to celebrate!

On Saturday, we went to see Grandpa Gary & Aunt Jo.  Guess what, they had presents for use to open!!

Whew, 2 weeks, 3 states and 4 Christmases, this little girl is tuckered out!  This week is my first anniversary of starting daycare....where has the time gone??
