Christmas Tree Shopping

The other day we went out to chop down (pick one out of pile) a Christmas tree out at the enchanted forest (Lowe's).  We hiked (road on a cart)...
...for miles (3 aisles) ....
searching for the perfect tree.  After hours (about 10 minutes) of searching,
we finally found one and loaded it onto the sleigh (daddy's car).

"Hey, what's this tree doing in my car?"

Once we got the tree home, it was time to decorate it with the finest (non-breakable) of ornaments.

"hmmm, one about right here should do it..."
No Christmas tree is finished until you put the star on top.

With the tree all decorated, I can rock next to it and read stories to the kitty.
The kitty loves the tree as much as I do.

Mommy and daddy thought we should go see Santa.
I, on the other hand, wasn't excited about the idea and let everyone in the store know it!  It wasn't good.  Santa is really fun to see in books, but I'm not quite ready yet to meet him in person.  Maybe next year.

....and to all a good night,

Kaitlyn

  1. You sure picked a pretty dress to go see Santa - bet you cried because he did not compliment you on it, right? Not because you did not like Santa - sometime you just have let people know why you are crying!!!

Love the Christmas tree story ~ you are a very creative writer already!

Your cousins have been busy ~ Liz has played her 1st BB game of the season, Kayla's dance team performed once last week & will perform twice this week, Connor & Adam are busy with BB practice and John is going to school, doing chores and hanging out with his girlfriend. :)

I heard Grandma baked TONS of cookies & Grandpa has been sampling them!

We are excited to see you in 2 weeks!!!

    Have a great week,
