A 5 Day Weekend???

Mommy was sick this morning, so daddy stayed home to take care of me.  He had a little too much free time with the camera and computer while mommy was sleeping.....

Mommy is feeling better now, so I think me and the camera will get a rest tomorrow!!

All smiles, at home

 I'm all smiles at home tonight.  Tonight we had our Christmas pictures taken and I  was a fussy little girl.  As soon as we got home though, I couldn't stop smiling.  Isn't that just how it always seems to go???

Today, mommy & daddy and I did some shopping.  Other than that, we had a pretty easy day leading up to our Christmas pictures tonight.

Look what I found on my blog tonight, it's a map that shows me where people who read my blog come from. Kind of neat isn't it?  I wonder how long it will take to get all 50 states?

After all of our traveling the past few weeks, this should be a pretty slow week for the Kos house.  I want to thank everyone in Iowa and in South Dakota for everything that they did for me and for letting me visit.

My First Thanksgiving

Hello everyone, we just got back from my first Thanksgiving, what a trip!  We went up to South Dakota to spend the holiday with daddy's family.

Grandma Judy made the best turkey dinner I've ever seen.  I can only assume it was good -the leg sure looked good!  Maybe next year I'll get to try some.

Here are all of us grandkids in the same room at the same time for the very first time.  It was a lot of fun for us to finally be all together.  It's tough though, we lead such busy lives.

Thursday night, my cousin Hallee stopped by for a visit.  She's 8 months old, I could probably learn a thing or two from her.

Here are cousins Kim, Jess, Hallee, me, mommy, uncle David (my 2nd uncle David, this is confusing) and aunt Charlotte on Thanksgiving evening.  Thanks for stopping by guys!!

After things settled down, I was finally able to sit back and relax for a minute.

After I put my PJs on, Grandpa Terry showed me how to run the remote control!!  Mommy and daddy hadn't let me watch TV before and now I'm in charge of it.  Grandpa is so cool!

I spent Friday afternoon with Aunt Kathy in Watertown.  Thanks so much for letting me visit.  That night, we were back to help Kayla celebrate her birthday.  I wasn't happy in the picture 'cause they told me I couldn't have any cake :(

Anyone notice how cousin Liz is holding me in all of the fun pictures?  We make quite the fun team.  I'm going to try to make it up for one of her basketball games this winter to help cheer her on.

Mommy and daddy wanted me to thank everyone one for all of their help this weekend and for stopping by to visit. Can't wait to see everyone one soon,

Two Month Birthday!!

Today I am two months old!!  Mommy and daddy were so happy for this morning when the reminded me, at least I think they were happy for me.  Maybe they were happy for themselves 'cause they haven't really messed things up yet???

I had such high expectations for my two month birthday.  I was thinking about cake, maybe a party, some presents, but oh how different the day turned out.  I had to go see Dr. Moore for my two month check-up.  Instead of getting presents, I 3 got shots!!  If you look closely at the picture below, you can see the band-aids on my little thighs :((

Everything else at the Dr. visit went very well.  The Dr. said I'm "growing like a weed", and he's right.  I'm up to 12 lbs 1 oz and I'm 23 3/4 " inches long.  That puts me in the 93rd percentile for height and the 82nd percentile for my weight.

I'm still pretty tired from getting my shots today, so I think I'll go take a nap.

Iowa, you make me smile

This weekend I had my first overnight trip to Iowa.  We went to see my brand new cousin Hudson!!!!
He was born just 2 weeks ago.  I had to show him the ropes on how to be a newborn.  He's a quick study.....I got him to cry a few times with me  : )

We also went to see Grandpa Gary and my great Aunt Joann....that's my mommy's aunt Joann not my daddy's aunt Joann.....so many aunt Joann's how is a little girl to keep them straight.  They thought I was a keeper!!!

8 Weeks Plus

Hello everybody!  Can you believe that I turned 8 weeks old on Wednesday???  Where has the time gone?  I've packed a lot into those eight weeks though.  I've traveled the country (Nebraska, South Dakota, & Iowa), meet so many friends and relatives, I just wonder what the next 8 weeks will have for me.

I've really started to smile lately, and I just love to sit up.  Sometimes I sit on the couch with daddy, other times I'll sit in my own special chair.  I can only sit there for a few minutes at a time though 'cause I've got to much other stuff to get done!!

Tomorrow we're going to go see my cousins Jordan and Hudson.  I'm really looking forward to it!

Nice and Warm

"How much???"

That look on my face is the same one that daddy had on his face when he found out that he needed to buy a new furnace today. It's going to cost more than me -and not be anywhere near as cute, though it may be quieter ;)  Like I told mommy and daddy, it happens.

Stay away furnace man, that's my secret hideout!!

After all was said and done, the house is warm, I am being fed and the kitty is content -what else is there.

Baptism

Hey strangers, how has everyone been doing?  I've been a busy little bee this weekend.

                                                                   I was baptized today!
                                     Not everyone was able to make it, so I want to share it with you.

Thanks to all of my friends at Maplewood, especially Pastor Jim for baptizing me today.
A card from grandma and grandpa Kos  says it very well.....Bless this dear little girl, that she may grow in the sweetness of your love.

The dress I wore today is the same dress that my aunts Karen & Kathy and cousins Liz and Kayla wore when they were baptized.  I'm proud to be the next little girl to wear it and can't wait to see who gets to wear it next.

After church, we came back home and had lunch with everyone before they had to get back on the road.

A Trip to the Clinic

How's everyone doing?  We've been pretty busy here, so I haven't had time to update my blog lately.  Sorry about that.

Today I went with mommy and daddy to the clinic.  Guess what, we weren't there for me!!  Mommy and daddy got flu shots and this time I got to watch!  They were so brave, I'm proud of them :)  After they got their shots, we had lunch with daddy before he had to go back to work.  After that, mommy and I picked up a few things at the store, then I took a nap.

I'm up to 6 ounces on the bottle now -I'm going to get so big!!!

Sorry, that was just too funny when it happened not to share.

Alyssa and I were getting to know each other tonight.  She is being a good kitty, she is even getting familiar to my screaming.  Since she was being so good, I told her she could play with some of my toys.

Today mommy and I went for a walk around the neighborhood.  We had a great day together.

Field Trip

This afternoon we went on my very first field trip, and my first trip into Iowa.  To enjoy the beautiful afternoon, we went for a walk at DeSoto Bend.  While we were there, we saw some ducks and a deer, it was really neat.

It was starting to get dark, so we headed for home.

Even More Family

Hi everybody.  Sorry that it's been a few days since my last update, but we've been pretty busy here.

Lots of news on Friday.  Aunt Angie had a baby boy!  Hudson was born Friday afternoon at 2:03 pm.  He weighed 8 lbs 8 oz and was 21".  It'll be so fun to grow up with him.  Since I'm a little older, I'll probably have to show him the ropes.

Friday we went to visit Edra at the retirement home -talk about grandmas as far as the eye can see!  We had a blast on our visit.

When we got back home, Grandma Mary was waiting for us.  It was great to meet her.  We hung out for the weekend and bonded.

Photo Op

Hi everybody!

Today I had such a great day.  Me and mommy played, took a nap -I was in such a great mood.  Here is a picture of me playing with the present that Tina gave me.  We had a blast playing with it.









Tonight we got all dressed up to have our pictures taken.  After having a great day, I decided to by a little fussy with the photographer.  Oh well, I never seem to be too far from a camera so I'm sure there will be other chances to have my picture taken.

See!  10 minutes after we got home, look how happy I am!

6 Weeks Down, a Bunch to Go!

Hi everyone :)  I'm six weeks old today!  In celebration, mommy gave me a bath this morning and another tonight.  All I have to do is have a messy accident and I get a bath, good to know.

We went to Mommy and Me class this afternoon then daddy watched me tonight while mommy went to the store.  We watched some of the baseball game tonight, just relaxing around the house.

No new cousin yet from Aunt Angie and Uncle Dave.  Mommy says that it could happen any time now, we're all so excited for them.  I can't wait to meet my new cousin and show him the ropes!

Another day on the go

Today mommy and I went to my new day care place to get me all signed up.  Everything looks pretty nice there, I think they'll take good care of me when mommy and daddy are at work.  Since we were already there, we popped in to see mommy's work friends, I was in a lot better mood this time :)

Tonight I have to take care of daddy, mommy went to a meeting.  I just gave him the remote control and he seems pretty happy.  We're having a pretty good night so far, but it's early yet ;)

Back From My Trip

We made it back from South Dakota tonight, what a great trip.  I met so many new people and had so much fun, I can't wait to go back.

My baby shower was a blast, those women in Henry sure know how to spoil a little girl.  Thank you so much to Diane, Lois & Marilyn for putting it on, and to everyone else who stopped by on Saturday or Sunday.  Mommy said you all spoiled me, but I think it was just right :)

Daddy had a great time hunting with Grandpa Terry, Mark, Paul and cousin Connor.  They didn't have much luck -but they had plenty of excuses as to why they didn't get many birds.

I didn't realize that Halloween would be so much fun -you get candy and fun clothes!

I wasn't real sure why cousin John didn't wear a lady bug outfit too, he must have forgotten his.

Thanks everyone for such a great weekend, it was my favorite out-of-state trip ever!!
