10 Months Old!!

Hi everybody!!

On Friday I turned 10 months old!  Where has the time gone????  I'm right on track and doing everything a 10 month old baby should be doing, so mommy and daddy are happy about that.

To help me celebrate turning 10 months old, Aunt Karen and cousin Liz came down to visit me.  I was still sick on Friday, but they didn't seem to mind too much.

And just had a great time.  Cousin Liz evened showed me how to send a text!

Thanks so much for coming down guys.  Hopefully I'm feeling better the next time I see you.

By Saturday night I was feeling pretty good, so on Sunday I went with mommy to visit her friend Liz at the lake.  It was soooo much fun.

Two New Things

This week we've done two new things.  I brought home hand, foot & mouth disease :(  I had to leave daycare early today because I'm so sick.  It sure isn't fun.

The other new things is that earlier this week, my standing ability was captured by the camera!

I'm so excited that I can stand!  I'm still pretty shaky, but each day I'm getting a little bit better.

Well, this little girl better get to bed so that I can start to get better.

How has everybody been?  It's been really hot here in Omaha, the hottest summer I can remember!  To cool down, we went to the pool the other day.  That was soooo much fun to splish and splash around the pool.

We started off in the little kids pool, but I quickly moved on up to the regular pool.

I can't wait until we get to go back.  It'll be fun for me and daddy could use a little sun :)

Look Grandma Judy, I have my very own school bus.  Maybe someday I can drive a real one just like you!

The other day after work, we went to a park.  There is a lake there and it is full of birds swimming all around. Next time I'll have to take some snacks for them.

I have becoming the peek-a-boo master of our house.  It is my favorite game to play ever!

Sometimes I even play it with me inside and mommy outside.

I seem to have caught a cold this past week.  I've been pretty fussy and my nose has been running.  Otherwise, things are going really well.

Busy Little Girl

Sorry that it's been so long since I've updated my blog.  I've been so busy lately that I've hardly had time to think!  First I had to load the dishwasher.

Then it was time to put away the laundry

Before you know it, it was supper time and I had to get out my favorite recipe book so that I could make dinner.

Then daddy wanted to play ball, so we did that for a bit.

All this work for is too much for this little girl.  I needed a nap!

This week I moved up to the "big girl" car seat.  Isn't it cool???

This week might be my last week on the special formula.  Hopefully my tummy can handle it.  Speaking of eating, I'm becoming such a good eater of table food.  A lot of it ends up in my hair, but some of it makes it's way to my tummy.

Happy 4th of July

Wow, my first 4th of July!  What a fun holiday.  Firecrackers and fun summer clothes, what more is there??

Mommy and daddy took me to my first fireworks show.  I sat there and watch them the entire time -I was mesmerized!

The loud booms didn't scare me one bit, the lights were so pretty so watch.  It was so much fun, I can't wait until next year's show.

Mommy was a little scared of the loud noises, so we sat together.

On Saturday morning, we all went to the zoo where we met our friend Frank.

I was so excited to go to the zoo again.  The animals there are so funny to look at.

A little girl can't help but smile when she is at the zoo.

The zoo even has pretend animals for me to climb on!

I have to tell you though, the zoo can tire a little girl out.

I haven't mastered it yet, but I'm starting to drink out of a sippy cup when I'm crawling around the house.

Though I've discovered another way to quench my thirst.  First, have daddy hold a glass of water.  Then you stick your hand in it.

Then you lick your hand!  Am I the first person to figure this out??

Daddy tried to get a picture of me standing, but he wasn't quick enough for me.

I went to the Dr. for my 9 month check-up and for my first visit since I had my tubes put in.  Dr. Moore says that everything is looking great.
