Happy Halloween!!!

Today was my second Halloween.  Last year I was in South Dakota, so this is my first chance to go trick-or-treating in Omaha.  It was quite the day.

I started out the day wearing a little orange kitty outfit.  Mommy says I was way too cute, and I can't argue with her.
After church, it was time to get down to business and get ready!  We had to get our pumpkins ready.  First, we had to clean them out.
"I'm not sticking my hand in there, it smells like baby food!"
"Mommy, that's just gross!"

Once the pumpkins were cleaned out, it was time to cut out a pattern.  We picked the kitty pattern.
A few minor details left...
...and here it is!
I thought we were done after this, but daddy started working on the big pumpkin.  Check this out!
The pumpkins look neat inside the house, look at them outside in the dark!

Thanks so much for growing them for me grandma!

With the pumpkins ready, it was time for me to get ready.  I wore my SDSU cheerleader outfit.
Since I'm still too little to walk outside by myself, I made daddy dress up and come with me.  We're both ready for the game!
Check out all of the candy choices!!!
When we got back home, it was time to give out candy to the other kids.  This was my favorite part.
I sat with mommy or daddy by the door all night to see all of the kids in their costumes.
What a fun day!  To see more pictures, click on the "Halloween Pictures" link at the top of the page.

Talk to you soon,

Fall is in the Air

Sorry that it's been such a long time since my last update.  I've been busy watching over mommy and daddy and I also came down with a cold.  Being little is hard work!

On one of the last nice days that we had, we went down to the lake to enjoy the beautiful weather.
It was so much fun to run around and play over there.
There different leaves at the lake than one I have in my yard.  See, take a look.

Speaking of leaves, our yard was full of them again last week so we had to rake them.  When I say "we", that means that I supervised and mommy & daddy raked them up.
"looking good mom!"
"I'd better take a closer look at this pile."

Grandma Judy & Grandpa Terry stopped by on there way back from Texas and spend the night with us.  We had so much fun, I think I wore them out!
Grandpa pushed me around in the laundry basket like it was a bumper car!  Beep Beep!
Thanks for stopping by guys!

"Kitty, what are you doing in my tunnel?"

I have a new favorite vegetable, it's called candy corn.
I love them,
and they are all mine!
As a matter of fact, I'm taking them with me!

Thanks for stopping by,
Kaitlyn

Feeling Better

I'm over my cold from last week and I'm feeling all better now.  Good thing too, 'cause I had a pretty busy weekend.

Grandma Mary came over and stayed with us on Friday and Saturday.  We did some shopping, put up the fall decorations, went out for dinner....you know, girl stuff :)
Getting out the decorations.

Grandma brought me over a puppy!!!  Though not a real one, I don't think the kitty would like that.
When we were done decorating, I showed grandma some new things I like to do.  Like walking around with a bucket on my head!

Here is another trick I discovered.  I have this really fun music stand.  You push the buttons and it plays songs.
Well, I discovered that if I sit on it, all of the songs will play at the same time!  It's so much fun.
It was so nice out this weekend, that me and daddy had to throw the football around a little bit.

Not only did Grandma Mary come over, but Grandma Judy & Grandpa Terry stopped by on their way to see Uncle Donald.  What a fun surprise!!

Me and Grandma Judy sharing some fun stories.
Kicking back with grandpa and having some milk.
Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Talk to everyone later,

Tough Week of Being One

This was the hardest week of being one year old that I've ever had.  I was a sick little girl and even had to go see Dr. Moore again.  I'm not sure what I had, but it kept me home from work for two days.  I'm feeling a lot better now though.

When I was at the Dr. for my birthday check-up the week before, I measured in at 23 lbs and 31" tall.  That makes me a tall girl for my age -which really comes in handy when I pull stuff off of the kitchen table :)

On Friday, mommy took me to the football game that daddy was working at.  Some of mommy's friends were there too, we had a blast.  Saturday, we went with Frank to visit his grandmother -she just loves me.
I have two more upper teeth!  That makes 8.  Now mommy has to be extra careful when she is try to dig stuff out of my mouth.

Hope all is well,

Kaitlyn

Recovering From My Birthday

Hi everybody.  I had a pretty tough week here.  I moved into a new room at work, that was pretty traumatic for me.  It took me a couple of days to get use to the new room, but by the end of the week I was starting to adjust.  By the end of the week though, I had caught a cold and I wasn't feeling the best.

Now that the bad stuff is out of the way, I need to tell everyone how much I love my birthday presents!  I've been such a busy little girl with my new toys.

Making some tea before I head out to work!
Yesterday, Nate & Alex from down the street came over to play.  I had a blast watching those boys play with the balloons.
The weather was really nice here today, so I decided to help daddy in the yard.  First I would rake the leaves.
Then I'd have to haul them away in my truck.
If I was lucky, daddy would let me play in the leaves before he put me back on the rake.
When we were done with the yard work, I had to come in and help with the laundry.
Do you see how red those cheeks are?  Yep, more teeth are coming in.  I already have 6 teeth, how many does a girl need???

Kisses,

Kaitlyn
