Camp South Dakota

Last week I attended "Camp South Dakota" at grandma & grandpa's.

When we got to grandma's, Connor & Kayla were there and ready to play.
"Faster Connor!"
 "Let's go Kayla!"
Papa's motorcycle.....I think I'm good just sitting here in the driveway.
Kayla & Connor took me up to the park to swing and go down the slide.  Thanks so much guys!

For Father's day, I made daddy a t-shirt.

Cousin Liz and I sharing a sucker.

At camp, grandpa Terry and I blew bubbles and told each other funny stories.

On Tuesday, mommy and daddy went on their vacation and I got to stay in South Dakota.  I was such a busy girl.  Uncle Brian gave me horsey rides, me and grandma Judy played outside, I spent an afternoon with aunt Kathy & uncle Brian, and I even spent the night with aunt Karen & Uncle Bret on the farm.
"Big truck Liz!"
"Look at all of those cows."
"I'd better get on the tractor and go feed them cows."
After doing chores, me and Liz snuggled in and took a little rest.

Some people think that mommy and daddy should have taken me on their little vacation.  Let's see what they did.
The largest ball of twine???  Really mommy?
Then they spent some time on the beach.  Looks fabulous guys.
Thanks anyway, but I'll take a bubble bath at grandma's anytime over that beach!

Thanks to everyone who played with me while mommy and daddy were on their "vacation".  Talk to everybody real soon,
Kaitlyn

Under the Weather

Hey everybody.  I'm back to my old self after being sick last week.  It was so bad that grandma Judy had to come down and take care of me.  All I needed to hear was that grandma was on her way and presto, I was all better!  I shared my cold with mommy and grandma, hopefully they get better too.

Before I got sick, I was a busy little girl as usual.  Me and mommy hit a garage sale and look what we found!
This trike has everything, a spot for my water, an umbrella and a bar so that daddy can push me around the neighborhood.  How cool is that???

I could have used my new wheels earlier this month when mommy and daddy took me to the Taste of Omaha.
While we were walking around checking out the vendors, we decided to eat in the comforts of air conditioning.

Me and mommy went to the zoo and met up with Frank.  It's not just funny monkeys at the zoo, there is lots of stuff there for us little kids to play on.

I love the zoo!

Check out my new skill.  I can get up on my pony now all by myself!

Grandma's chicken is finger lick'n good!

Still loving the sandbox!

When grandma was down helping me get better, grandma Terry got lonely and came down to see us.
Thanks so much for helping me get better grandma!
Say "cheese"!

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Memorial Day

Happy belated Memorial Day to everyone and thanks to all of you who have served.

With the official kickoff to summer, I've been outside quite a bit.  Sometimes I'm drawing pretty pictures on the driveway.
On days when I'm feeling more adventurous, I go for a bike ride with mommy & daddy.  I'll admit, I'm not the biggest fan of wearing the helmet though.
But my most favorite thing ever to do outside is to play in my new sandbox!!!  Mom & dad sacrificed the garden and made it into a play area.  It was quite the process.  First I had to supervise dad when he moved out all of the dirt and put in the sand.
"Only 24 more 50 pound bags to go daddy!"
Before it was all complete, I had to give part of the sandbox a test run to make sure it was up to my specifications.
It's a success!
What I like best about the sandbox is building castles and then knocking them down.
Not only is the sandbox a hit with me, but the neighbor kids like to play in it too!
I guess it's not only kids who like the sandbox.  We had a lady bug stop by and play with us too.

After a hard day of playing in the sandbox, it's time to enjoy some dinner out on the deck.

When the weather isn't nice enough to play in the sandbox, you can sometimes find me in the kitchen.  I just love to bake.
The best part of baking is the tasting!

Grandma Mary came over and spent the weekend with us.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

After a hard day of baking and playing, I treated myself and got my nails done.

Have a great week, I'll be spending it in the sandbox.

Liz's Graduation

Last week, mommy's friend Melisa and her boy Emmitt stopped by on their way back home to Denver.  Emmitt and I had a blast.  We jumped on the bed,
colored,
and best of all we went to the zoo!
We were all over the birds at the zoo.
Melissa even got a bird to land on her stick!
Check out this boy bird trying to impress the girl birds.
Thanks for visiting us Melissa and Emmitt!

This past weekend we traveled up to South Dakota to see cousin Liz graduate.  Before the festivities, I was able to spend some time with grandma & grandpa.

Connor had a track meet while we were in South Dakota.  Look how high Connor can pole vault!  Connor, you have to teach me how to do that.

I tried to get grandpa to take the motorcycle out for a spin, but it was too rainy :(
Since grandpa wouldn't give me a ride, I had to get my own set of wheels out!

After the ride, it was off to see the graduation ceremonies.  Congratulations Liz!
Spending some time with the new graduate.
The best thing about graduating is that you get a big party afterwards.  At the party, Kayla and I had lots to talk about.
I could only stay inside at the party for a little while before I had to go explore on the farm.  Cousin John even let me sit in one of the tractors.
"breaker breaker"
Not only do they have tractors, but they have "BIG TRUCKS" on the farm too!
John just graduated from school too, good job John!

Back at the party, Adam helped me make bubbles.

Hallee was at the party too, we played rocks and then did some work in aunt Karen's garden.
After playing outside, helped Liz open her presents.
It sprinkled a little bit at the party, but that made fore a gorgeous double rainbow!

Before we headed back home, one of the neighbors came by with his puppy.  I've never seen a puppy this big before!

Nobody can believe how big I'm getting, I'm up to 28lbs now.  I'm putting together little sentences too, like "sit down daddy", "no daddy" -everything I need to keep daddy in check :)

Thanks for stopping by,
