Getting Ready for a Three Day Weekend

I went to see the Dr. this week about getting tubes put in my ears so that I don't get so many infections.  From what I've been told, I think it's going to happen this June.

I'm really starting to take to this eating thing.  We had spaghetti at work the other day, it was awesome!

I'm even starting to eat better for mom and dad -when I feel that they need to think they know what they're doing ;)  Here's me and daddy sharing some applesauce.

Since I ate so well, daddy bought me a pink ball to play with.  It's so cool.

After all of the messy eating and playing hard with the ball, it's bath time!

Eight Months Old!

Hello everybody!

Today is my eight month birthday!  As a special treat, I showed mommy and daddy a new trick.  I took my new favorite toy (an empty diaper box) and walked it across the living room!  How cool is that?

I did this trick a few more times, but it didn't end well.

When I don't feel like walking with the box, I can still get around on all fours.  Watch me attack daddy!

I'm a talkative little girl now.  I say things that are pretty close to "mom" and "dad", but who knows what I'm really saying.  I started talking to another little girl in church today, but then daddy took to me to the play room.

Yesterday, we went to a graduation party of a friend of mommy and daddy, Jordan.  They had cake and I ate some!  I can't wait to graduate so I can have a cake.  They also have two little puppies that are so cool.

I'm not a big fan of the grass yet, I think it feels funny on my toes.  Besides, I'd rather be held than sit on the grass anyway ;)

Back to the Doctor

I had a good run, but mommy had a feeling that I needed to go back to see Dr. Moore again today.  Turns out that my left ear is infected.  I don't know if it's a new infection or if the last one never went away.  All I do know is that I have to take more of that yucky medicine :(  As a bonus, they think I have croup too.  Man, this being little is so unhealthy!!

Since I'm such a good crawler now, daddy put up the baby gate so I don't take a tumble down the steps.  You should see me crawl across the room -I'm supper fast!  I can't quite keep up with the kitty, but one of these days....

Aunt Karen, I know that you said in your last comment that there was better food that kitty food but have you tried baby food lately??  It isn't all that tasty.  Before mommy and daddy moved the kitty's dish, guess what I got into tonight...

Let's just say that those aren't sweet potatoes on my chin and leave it at that ;)

Counsin Jordan's Birthday Party

I'm tired of the food that mommy and daddy have been trying to feed me.  This kitty food looks a lot better!

This weekend we went to cousin Jordan's 4th birthday party.  It was such a blast.  All of the girls got to wear crowns.

And the boys got to wear masks.

While the big kids were outside, I had to inspect Jordan's new doll house to make sure it's safe for her.

It looks pretty safe, so I'll be expecting one of these to come my way shortly!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to Mommy and to all of the other mommies out there!
I was so excited to wish mommy a great day that I was up at 5 AM to tell her.  Mommy said "thank you", then played the mother's day card and had daddy get up to feed me and play.

I had such a great week.  Dr. Moore said that my ear infection is all gone and I was in such a good mood all week long.  Not only am I happy and healthy, but I had three big milestones this week.  I can get into a sitting position all by myself, I pulled my self up to stand against the couch and I started to crawl.  What a week!  Daddy says it may have been my biggest week since I was born.

Daddy thought it would be a great mother's day gift if I would vacuum the house for mom.  Nice try daddy, maybe next year!

Grandma Mary came over to see us this weekend.  She read to me some stories and reminded mommy of all the trouble she use to get in when she started to crawl.  Thanks for the ideas grandma ;)

I have a new skill

Hello everybody! Man, have I been a busy little girl!

Mom and dad are on still trying to get me to eat solid food. I don't know, the bottle doesn't seem to make nearly the mess.

Daddy and I went for a run with the stroller the other day. That was really cool. After our workout, I needed some water.
"Mom, when do I get my own cell phone???"

And for the most exciting news, I'm now on the move!!! I don't have crawling mastered yet, but I'm getting there.

I'd better go. It looks like daddy needs some help putting up the baby gate!

May Day

I'm starting to feel better after my ear infection.  Hopefully I don't have to deal with one of those again for awhile.

Guess what I can do now.....get into a sitting position all on my own.  Well, sometimes I can.  It's still a lot easier to have mommy or daddy sit me up, but if I try real hard I can do it by myself.

Today I was the greeter at church!  That was so fun to say "good morning" to everyone as they came in.

I'm also starting to be a better eater.  Mommy bought me some cereal and it's starting to grow on me.  It's no Cap'n Crunch, but it's a start.

After my cereal, mommy gave me a bath.  Baths are so much fun!
