Thanks for all the Votes

Thanks everyone for helping me decide what picture to use in the photo contest.  It was a lot of fun to watch the voting and to hear all of the fun comments about which picture to use.  The "Hearts and Smiles" picture was the winner -though I think they're all winners :)

This weekend Grandma Judy and Grandpa Terry came down for a visit. Friday, I didn't go to work but stayed home and played with grandma and grandpa, we had such a good time. Cousin Kayla sent me down some new shoes! They're a little big right now, but I can't wait until they feet my little feet.

Saturday, mommy, grandma and I went to the Cathedral Flower Festival at the St. Cecilla Cathedral.  There were so many beautiful flowers there, we had a really good time.

After the flower show, we met up with grandpa and daddy for lunch.  When daddy wasn't looking, grandma gave me a drink of her pop!  I don't quite have the straw figured out yet.

Thanks so much for coming down grandma & grandpa!  We always enjoy your visits and I can't wait to see you again.

Tomorrow is a big day at our house, it's mommy's birthday and my four month check-up.  Dr. Moore will tell me how big I'm getting and will also let us know if I can start to mix-up my diet.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Today is my daddy's birthday!!!  Yesterday was my 4 month birthday and daddy says that he is 151 times older than me -whatever that means.  All I know is that he got cake and I got formula.  Doesn't quite seem fair now does it.

This year mommy gave daddy some new workout gear.  Last year mommy gave daddy a bigger surprise....he found out I was coming.  Is there a better gift than that???

I'm feeling a lot better now, I think I'm over my cold.  Mommy is over her cold too, but daddy still has his.  "Daddy, I think you need to go blow your nose."

Friday after work, mommy and I went to a party with her work friends.  It was so much fun, I was a big hit.  I got to meet some other baby girls there who are about my age.  Thanks for inviting us girls, we had a blast.

The Gift that Keeps on Giving

Remember that cold that I told you guys about?  Well, I gave it to mommy and daddy.  Now I'm starting to feel better and mommy and daddy are under the weather.

I didn't eat very well when I was sick -kind of hard to drink through a bottle and you can't breath through your nose, but my appetite is starting to come back now.

Now that I can hold my head up so well, I just love to be on my feet -though I do need some help from the bouncy seat.

My First Cold

It turns out that what mommy and daddy were right (don't tell them I said that), I did come down with a cold.  I've been coughing and sneezing all weekend.  Needless to say neither me or mommy are getting much sleep because of it.

Uncle Dave bought a web-cam this weekend, so me and Hudson talked for a bit this afternoon.  We had a lot of catching up to do.  He's two months old now.....I remember when I was a little kid like him, those were the days.

I also chatted with the DeJongs.  They were all excited that the Vikings won today.  Cousin John took them snowmobiling this afternoon -hey John, we have snow down here too and I want to go for a ride!!

You've Got Mail

The other day when mommy and I came home from work, there was a package waiting for me on the steps.  I love it when I get mail!!  Aunt Kathy and cousin Kayla did some shopping and found some things for me that they knew I just couldn't live without.

Inside were lots of presents!!  A book, some pajamas -which I really love and my very first pair of shoes!  Thank you so much guys.  The shoes may have to wait a bit, but mommy and daddy have already ready me the book several times.


The PJs are awesome with little hearts on them just in time for Valentine's Day!  They make me so happy.  Thanks again :)

We're going to have a pretty slow weekend this weekend.  Mommy and daddy are talking about cleaning up the house -they talk about that a lot but acting on that is another story.  Me, I think I'll just hangout and maybe watch the kitty.  The past week or so, I have become really observant of things around me, and I just love to watch that wild cat.

This morning mommy and daddy were thinking that I had a little cold.  I was doing a lot of coughing and sounded a little congested.  I feel a lot better now though.

Hightech Baby

Hey there everyone. I hope that everyone is doing great.  I'm doing pretty good here -I've sleep through the night a couple times lately and I've started to have another bottle during the day. Daycare, I mean work, is going really well.

For Christmas, Aunt Karen gave daddy and Grandpa Terry web cams. It's soooo cool, I can talk to and see my distant friends and relatives!

Nothing to exciting going on with us this week, so I did a little dance to entertain everyone one. Look out Rockettes, here I come!!!

First Week at the Office

This week I finished my first week of work, a.k.a. daycare.  It was a learning experience for everyone.  My sleep schedule is a little messed up now, I'll have to start to get use to taking naps when other kids are playing around me.  Everyone there is very nice and it's so close to where mommy works that she can stop by and visit. Here is a shot of me at work.

One thing I learned this week is that if you have a major accident at work, you won't be dressed as cute coming home as you were going.

We took it pretty easy on Saturday, ran a few errands and took a few naps.  Me and mommy had to cuddle last night.

Look what happened to my swing!!  It has some safety bar on it now.  I've been growing so much and moving around that mommy was afraid I'd fall out. I'm not sure if I like this...

Daddy and I dressed in matching close this morning for church.

I'm still chewing on my fingers like there is a tooth coming in, but we can't see anything yet.

Award Winning Baby!!

This past Christmas mommy submitted a picture of me for the cute kid holiday photo contest sponsored by the Omaha World Herald's Mommy website.  Yesterday we got the call that my picture was one of the winners!!!  We wow a gift certificate to Rockbrook Camera, how exciting!  It was truly a family effort -mommy took the picture, daddy tweaked it and of course I was the star of it.  Here is a Link to the Article and another look at the winning picture.

Daycare has been going pretty well.  The first day I was pretty worn out by the time I got home and between my nap and going to bed I slept for 10 hours.  I made up for it last night though and was up by 2:30 this morning.  Daddy thinks I had an energy drink at daycare.

Everyone at daycare is so impressed with how well I can hold my head up and how I can grab onto things.  I'm so "advanced" that they let me play with the toys for the 4th month old babies!

It's "snowmageddon" here again in Omaha.  I swear, I've never seen so much snow.  Good thing daddy has that new snowblower to play with -though I'll stay inside and play on my activity mat.

First Day at the Office

Today was my first day at daycare.  They have a lot of really fun toys to play with and I have my very own crib.  There are some other little babies there too, though I haven't really gotten to know them yet.  I had trouble sleeping there, so I took a power nap when mommy brought me home.

Once I got up from from my nap, I was a happy baby though.  Mommy and daddy needed some play time with me, so I let them entertain me for a while.

I'm still chewing on my fingers like I'm teething, but mommy isn't sure if I have a tooth working it's way down or not.  Either way, I'm a drooling machine!!!

Mommy's friend Mary gave me a very nice new rattle.  Thank you Mary!

Back Home From Iowa

We made it back home to Omaha yesterday, what a fun trip.  Before we came home, we stopped and saw Grandpa Gary and Aunt Jo.  We thanked them for the PJs that they gave me, they fit me perfectly now.  I gave them a picture of me -could you think of a better gift?!?!

Here is a picture of me and cousin Hudson at Grandpa's having a blast on the floor.  I think it was the only time all weekend we were both awake and one of us was't screaming.

When we got home, one of daddy's football friends called so we went of there for a little post-season get together.  I finally got to meet all of these guys that daddy spends so much time with.  There was a puppy there that couldn't get enough of me, I think I know what I'm going to ask for come birthday time.

Tomorrow will be my first day of daycare.  I'll be right next to mommy's work so she'll be able to stop in and see me when she has a break.  Keep your fingers crossed that I keep sleeping through the night!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year everybody!!!

I'm in Iowa at Uncle Dave & Aunt Angie's celebrating the new year.  Unlike every other nite this week, I missed midnight, so I didn't get to celebrate with everyone else.

I've been busy catching up with cousins Jordan and Hudson.  We've been playing and napping -a perfect day! 

This afternoon, Grandma Mary came over and we all celebrated Christmas. It's been so much fun!  Jordan got a cool Barbie doll, I wonder if I'll ever get any of those???

This is a lot of work for a little girl, I need to take a nap in Grandma Mary's arms.
